Proumeyssac is the largest managed cave system in Périgord today.
A tunnel leads you easily to this vast underground vault, its walls decorated with a multitude of exceptionally thick crystallizations.
Light shows and music complementing the originality of the site, provide a background for the 45-minute tour given by experienced guides, leaving you with unforgettable memories.

With the new light show created for the 3rd millennium and major amenity improvements, the Proumeyssac caves now reveal even more wonders. The new tour, utilizing upgraded, cutting-edge technology, now meets all expectations.
> ABOUT THE CAVES...
Outside, many amenities have been designed for greater visitor satisfaction. All facilities at the Caves are easy to access and free.
• The geological park
Designed to make it easy to understand the many phenomena, it has become a "must" for young and old. Thanks to new illustrated panels and an artificial stream, visitors can see how the four great geological eras have evolved and how the caves were formed.
• Forest trail
On the plateau above the caves, you can find the various species of trees native to Périgord. Information boards are dotted along the trail. And after 300 metres at the end you can look out onto the famous Vézère Valley all the way to the Eyzies cliffs.
• Relaxation area
To relax and unwind, an amenity park under the trees (playground, picnic area) surrounding the vast reception hall that also contains the bar and souvenir shop. It has all been designed for everyone’s well-being and pleasure.
A surfaced parking lot is right next to the caves. It has lots of capacity so you won’t waste time getting to the caves. Specially designed for coaches and groups.
